Truck Weighing and Transaction Management System for a Recycling Facility

I developed a custom application for a company specializing in waste disposal management and recycling to streamline their truck weighing process. This intuitive and easy-to-use solution automates the workflow, enhancing both speed and accuracy.
The application integrates seamlessly with Cabral Weighing Scales (Balanças Cabral), supporting in this case four different capacities—15 Kg, 1000 kg, 40 tons, and 60 tons—through a specially developed communications protocol.
As soon as a truck arrives on the scale, its weight is instantly transferred to the application in real-time. The user simply clicks a button to record the Gross weight, then sends the truck to unload while the operator waits for its return.
- Seamlessly switch between weighing scales on-the-fly
During unloading, the truck can be placed in an on hold state within the application. While the truck unloads, put it in an on-hold state and quickly move on to the next one—no need to wait!
- The system can handle an unlimited number of trucks placed in "on hold" status, and supports communication with up to three different weight scales, with the flexibility to expand as needed.
Once the truck is unloaded, it returns to the scale to capture the Tare weight. The user then retrieves the same entry for that truck in the application and records the Tare weight, after which the Net weight is automatically calculated based on the Gross and Tare values.

Afterward, the application is able to generate an A5-sized transaction receipt for the driver. All transaction data is stored in a database, allowing management to review historical records at any time.
